Another week passes and Scottie Scheffler has won another PGA event. This time Scottie won The Memorial event at Jacks place to claim his 5th event of the year. Although he led from start to finish it wasn't as easy as it may have seemed. The course at Muirfield village was set up harder and harder every day with most players failing to break par on the last day.
Scottie holed a 5foot putt to win by 1 from Colin Morikawa who he had had a 4 shot lead over going into the final day. A superb -1 from Morikawa pushed Scottie all the way who finished with a +2 74 on the final day. Scottie becomes only the 2nd player to win The Players, The Masters and The Memorial all in the same year.
With the US Open starting this week Scotties heads into the competition hot favourite for his 3rd major. It was the same at last months PGA Championship but after his arrest and usual caddie not being available on the 3rd day (this was pre arranged due to his daughters graduation) Scottie played his way out of contention. Now though he seems to be continuing the form that has had him dominating most year. The good thing is that so many other players were in contention and hopefully they can bring that form in the US Open.
