Scottie Scheffler - Take a bow

Go back a couple months and Scottie Sheffler had gone 75 starts without a win of the PGA tour, he now has 3 from his last 5 starts. He holds the record for the short time from winning your first event to becoming world number 1, just 7 weeks, and he now has to be one the favourites for the first major of the year at Augusta for The Masters.

It truly has been a brilliant couple of months for the young American. Whilst the world talked about Collin Morikawa, Scottie went about his business as usual. Collin does have 2 majors already and was tipped to be world number 1 sooner rather than later but a drop in form for him a rise for Scottie has seen roles reverse.

What makes this even more impressive is the competitions he has won as well. He won the Arnold Palmer and this weeks WGC match play two big events on the calendar that the top players all turn up for. He did need some amazing golf to win this week as well. To qualify out of his group he had a play off with Matt Fitzpatrick that went to the 6th extra hole before he won but after that some fasts starts got him in great positions.

With the masters coming he's got to be favourite right?
