Congratulations JT

This was probably one of the weirdest majors I have ever had to watch. It was a crazy 4 days with the weather having such a big impact on the play.

JT equalled the record of gaining most shots on the last day to come back and win as he started 7 days behind. He shot a great 67 to set the club house lead at -5 and he needed a little bit of luck as Pereira made a double bogey on the last to miss out on the play off. Will Zalatoris put up a great effort to try and claim his first major but was it just wasn't meant to be.

It was a shame that Matt Fitzpatrick had such an off day shooting 74 to finish on -3. His usual steady game deserted him and he struggled his way round. Had he just shot level par he would have won by 2 but I'm sure it is a sign of things to come. Tommy Fleetwood also finished on -3. It was great to see him return to a little form and finish in to the top 5.

Once again it was a disappointing week for Rory McIlroy. He was leading after day 1 on -5 but it his game went a bit off for the last 3 days. It looked like it was going to be another Rory masterclass on the last day as he made a string of birdies over the first 9 holes but he was unable to keep the momentum going.

I'm glad JT got his 2nd major, he has been playing well and I'm sure it isn't going to be his last.
